A few random facts about Sally...

I'm Australian-born and bred but lived in England for six and a half years. Both countries feel like home.
I must create. I'm an author, textile artist and puzzle maker. But photography, gardening, cooking and music are hobbies, too. One year of my childhood was television-free. I read many interesting books that year. When I was little, my dream job was to work in a cattery. A day spent with purring cats? Heaven. And if I couldn't work in a cattery, a lolly shop was the next best thing. Two of my favourite past travel destinations include the Matterhorn Mountain in Zermatt, Switzerland, and the Keukenhof Gardens in The Netherlands. Both are stunning. The Narnia Chronicles are among my favourite books. I've read them at least twenty times each. Cakes make me happy. I enjoy experimenting with new cake recipes, especially for special occasions. Spending time in nature with my camera makes me calm. In the early days of the internet, I had a hobby of creating fonts. My font creations can still be found in collections all over the web. Search for "Pearlygates Fonts." My Christian faith is the foundation of my life. My faith-based website is called Shine like Stars. I talk to every animal I meet (except snakes). I'm sure I'm related to Dr. Dolittle. I'd like to see a real hummingbird someday. And a platypus. |
